The 4x4x4 RGB Cube was not enough for you. We took the 4x4x4 design to new heights. It has an SD card that can be loaded via your PC with new pattern files. This blinkie is powered by an USB connector.
Watch as colors wash from side to side, corner to corner, up/down, fading in and fading out. 128 RGB LEDs, each individually firing to create the ultimate in mesmerizing patterns. Although designed to be easy to build, it is the equivalent of building four regular blinkie kits.

After seeing a number of 3D LED cubes on the internet, we, of course, wanted to create our own. The existing designs appeared quite unforgiving, and we wanted to create one that mere mortals could build. After doing the "Gator" design, Dwayne learned the circuit board houses could do sophisticated board cuts, and we decided to push this to the limit :-). The 4x4x4 RGB Cube consists of eight boards: a bottom driver board, seven upper level "lace/waffle" boards, and four legs, creating a 3.25" x 3.25" x 3.25" cube. With 128 RGB LED Dwayne added 4 driver chips to help the PIC drive the 192 LEDs (as each RGB = 3 LEDs).
The design has two buttons to select the pattern. This blinkie design was introduced in 2017 at Musecon.
This is an advanced kit! This kit is designed for people with some soldering skills, perhaps having built a few blinkie kits or other projects.
